MILITARY DRONE TRAINING
Aligned with the Secretary of Defense’s directive “Unleashing U.S. Military Drone Dominance,” the Pendleton UAS Test Range (PUR) provides military units with 14,000 square miles of secure, low-traffic airspace in Northeast Oregon. With no red tape, Pendleton is purpose-built for tactical drone training, rapid UAS development, and battlefield assembly. As America’s most turnkey UAS test range and having supported over 65,000 UAS operations, Pendleton’s cutting-edge infrastructure, experienced staff, and proven track record help military units build, test, and deploy drone capabilities quickly and cost-effectively.
Through modular 2-week courses delivered in partnership with DelMar Aerospace, personnel can build mission-ready skills in small UAS operations (sUAS), FPV drone tactics, ISR flight planning, swarm operations, counter-UAS, and GPS-denied navigation. Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master-level courses are structured to accelerate readiness across both general and specialized drone applications.
Pendleton supports the Department’s mission to grow domestic UAS manufacturing, drive technological advancement, and simulate modern battlefield conditions in a secure environment. As a trusted training partner, PUR offers fixed per-person pricing, customizable course tracks, and local lodging options, including at the Rees Training Center.
